We at Echo Hill's Farm have gone through some changes due to the economy and my personal schedule. We will still be breeding beautiful, highly functional lines of Mini-Nubians and Mini-LaManchas, but will no longer be taking deposits on kids prior to sales, but will be selling them on our sales page on a first come first serve basis. All purchasers will be required to contact airports themselves, set up shipping and paying the airlines... Please see our sales policy on our sales page. Airlines are changing many of their shipping policies and making it more and more difficult for us to facilitate shipping from our end. We will no longer be bottle raising our kids, as my personal schedule will not allow me the time to keep new babies on accurate feeding schedules. Our herd has tested CAE negative for many years, and we will continue testing, but will also be dam raising our kids. We can make exceptions to this, please see our sales policy... I no longer have a home phone, but can be contacted by my email address above. I will try to get back to people on sales as I get the emails, but please note, we do live way out in the country and our email access is not always reliable, but I will do the best I can with what I have to work with. I am more limited on my availability and time than I have been in the past.
We have been successfully breeding dairy goats since 1993, and have worked since the registries started on developing a sound breeding program. Our Mini's breeding program focuses on midsized animals with excellant breed character, show quality conformation, and capacious-milking udders. Our girls are known for their gentle dispositions and longevity as productive, breeding and milking animals who still win shows even at 9+ years old. We are the first herd in the US to have American registered stock past the experimental stage in the MDGA. Our Mini-Nubian does and bucks are the first in the U.S. to earn both Permanent Grand Champion Status and their Production Stars within the MDGA. Our son's Mini-LaMancha at nine years old took a Best Doe in Show over a very large and competitive group of animals. We are delighted and happy with the success of our "Mini" herd, and the longevity of these animals. We had practiced aggressive CAE and CL herd management and prevention, with yearly testing since we began our program. We have tested several times for Johnnes and have always tested completely negative (we do not test for this annually, but about every three to four years as we work with our state vet.)
We really want to thank all our past purchasers for helping to make Echo Hill's as successful as we have been and are very excited as we see their own breeding programs develop. Over the years the "Mini," has really developed into an eye-catching, fun, economical, and hard working little animal. |
